So, when can us residential users get this service?

We don’t have a firm time line for launch of residential products yet. Business products will come first, as we can hand-hold the ordering and provisioning of each. Residential products require a few things we’re not finished with:
Automation of loop provisioning.
POTS voice with E911.
Local number portability of existing voice numbers.
We’re working on all of these things now.

When it is available for residential, will we be able to get naked DSL? With cell phones so cheap, and even voip services like skyp and vonage, who needs dial tone anymore.

Yes, standalone products will be offered, but at a higher cost. The reason is that revenue from the voice product helps support the cost of the copper itself, so if it’s a data only product, that needs to be offset. Expect a difference of around $10, give or take.
