Ethernet products expanded to 30Mbps

March 17, 2008 – 10:12 pm

We have expanded our FlexLink Ethernet offerings to 30Mbps symmetric (down and upstream) speed for businesses near the Santa Rosa downtown area. Product info will be updated shortly at: www.sonic.net/sales/flexlink

For business customers in Santa Rosa, both the ADSL2+ at up to 15Mbps/1Mbps and Ethernet products at up to 30Mbps/30Mbps are very exciting.

  2. Dane: thats very exciting!! Your metro-Ethernet product sounds very good. I’m curious why your bonded ADSL2+ cant do more than 1MB Up. I would think you should be able to get at least 2MB out of it..

1MB in any direction is starting to feel pretty paltry in any direction for high-end residential or SOHO applications.

  3. Regarding this article, the Ethernet products are symmetric.

For our ADSL2+ products, we will be doing further experimentation with “Annex M”, which provides for greater upstream speed. As we get some results, I will make additional postings.

My mouth is watering… literally. I want that at home.. I would need to start a server farm/webhosting company to justify it but… thats OK!

Time to clean out the garage…
