Non-intrusive Voice Maintenance

1/1/2014 12:21AM PST – This maintenance is now complete.

Tonight at 11:59PM PST we will be performing a software upgrade of core voice equipment in Santa Rosa. No service impact is expected with this upgrade.

Sonic Telecom Transient Outbound Calling Issue

Customers on the Sonic Telecom voice network may have experienced transient calling issues to multiple destinations starting at approximately 3:39PM this afternoon. This issue lasted for a duration of around 14 minutes.  At no time was 911 access impacted for our customers. We are presently investigating the cause of the outage and escalating with our vendors for the suspected hardware.

Fusion/FlexLink Intrusive Maintenance

This evening, beginning at 12:30AM, we will be performing intrusive maintenance on equipment serving Fusion and FlexLink customers in Sausalito, San Rafael, Vallejo, St. Helena, and Yountville. Expected downtime is less than 15 minutes.

Private Transport Outage

Today, December 18, starting at 3:40pm, a configuration error caused equipment serving a small subset of private transport customers to stop forwarding traffic. The equipment was restarted, and all services were restored by 3:55pm

Closure for Holiday Party

Sonic.net will be closed Thursday, 12/19/2013 from 5pm to 11pm for our annual staff holiday party. We will return Friday to our normal working hours, and we will call back anyone who left us a message during the closure. Our 24×7 network operations team will still be on call for our Enterprise dedicated circuit and colocation customers.

Power Work

Update (1:10AM) – This maintenance is now complete.

Tonight, beginning at 11:59 PM, we will be performing major work on equipment that provides power to parts of our phone switch. We do not expect any customer downtime as a result of this operation.

UPDATE: This work is complete.

Tonight at 11:59 pm, we will be preforming upgrades to our SSL configurations for several of our customer facing tools. Any active sessions when this upgrade takes place may be lost. The upgrade itself only takes a few seconds. Affected pages include Member Tools, Webmail, and the Product Signup page.
